Constance Lagerstrom Obituary

PAWTUCKET - Constance "Connie" V. (Ferland) Lagerstrom, 81, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Sunday, June 18, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert O. Lagerstrom for 48 years. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Eva (Normand) Ferland.
Connie worked as the secretary at Our Lady of Consolation Rectory, Pawtucket for twenty-two years. She was a member of the Gatchell VFW Post, a longtime volunteer at the Blackstone Valley Emergency Food Center and the breadline at Holy Family Parish. Connie enjoyed playing Bingo, bowling, fishing, reading and completing puzzles.
She leaves two daughters, Barbara Ann Lagerstrom and Gail Ruth Belasco and her husband, Christopher; two grandchildren, Zachary and Bryanna Belasco and three siblings, Muriel Chagnon, Gloria Barabault and her husband, Doug and George Ferland all of Pawtucket. Connie was predeceased by her companion, Robert Medeiros of Seekonk.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Consolation Church, 211 Sabin St., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Mount Saint Mary Cemetery. VISITATION will be Tuesday 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gift to the Blackstone Valley Emergency Food Center, 75 Benefit St., Pawtucket, RI 02861 will be appreciated. Please accept my dearest condolences. Connie was a very good friend of my deceased wife, Gert. They used to go roller skating at Bobby's when single and worked on a lot of Church projects together. I played golf with Bob many times. I loved him as friend and great competitor.
