Daniel Aldrich Obituary

Daniel J. Aldrich, 91, passed away at his home in North Grosvenordale, Connecticut on August 12, 2023 surrounded by his friends and family. Born in Potton, Quebec April 26, 1932 he was the son of the late Ernest Albert and Eileen Meryl (Wood) Aldrich. He has resided in the States for over 50 years with his wife and family.
He was the loving husband of the late Ardys B. Aldrich who he married on December 17, 1960 sharing
over 61 YEARS together.
He retired from ITT Continental Baking Co. (Wonder Bread), Natick, Massachusetts where he worked as a Millwright Mechanic.
Daniel and his wife Ardys were the owners of the Oakleaf Family Campground in Chepachet, RI from
1986 to 2013.
He enjoyed playing his guitar, reading cowboy books, watching westerns, driving his tractor and time
spent with his family.
He is survived by his children Starr Aldrich, Loralee Wilde, and Danella Stead, eight grandchildren
Rhiannon Thayer, Kendall Gregoire, Heather and Chesney O'Neill, Daniel and Alicia Wilde and James and Mark Stead. He also leaves behind 7 great grandchildren Carter Belanger, Addison and Talon Gregoire, Levi, Reaghan, and Evalynn Thayer, Daisy-Mae Stead.
Daniel was one of eight siblings, survived by his brother Dale Aldrich, and sisters Joyce Whyte and Meryl Lowe.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home 1496 Victory Hwy. Oakland, RI. Services for
