Daniel Neal Obituary

RINDGE, NH - Daniel A. Neal, 36, resident of Rindge, NH died at his home after a sudden illness on January 24, 2017.
He was born on November 24, 1980 in Newport, RI a son of Peter Neal and the late Kathleen (Beck) Morrison.
Raised and educated in Pawtucket, RI and Lincoln, RI, Dan graduated from Tolman High School in 2000. He later went on to attend Rhode Island Institute of Technology in 2010.
Daniel enlisted in the United States Army and served in Korea, Iraq and Kuwait. He was Honorably discharged in October of 2011 after faithfully serving our country, earning many metals and awards while he was deployed.
He worked at his dream job at Cheshire County Correctional Facility for the past two years, he made quite a few great friends over a short period of time there.
Dan enjoyed time spent outside enjoying the seasons here in NH, but the most important thing in his life was his family and time spent with his wife and his children who he adored immensely. He will also be dearly missed by all his close friends and his coworkers from the Correctional Facility.
Survivors include his loving wife, Melissa of Rindge, his two children; Leah and Connor Neal also of Rindge, his sisters, Jennifer Neal of MA and Stephanie Neal of Sullivan, NH and his mother and father-in-law, Robin and Laurence Sullivan of Jaffrey, NH, Melissa's father, Edward Higgins Sr. and Melissa's brother who was Dan's good friend, Edward Higgins Jr. and many nieces and nephews.
Services: Calling hour will held on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Cournoyer Funeral Home, 33 River Street, Jaffrey, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the St. Patrick's Parish, 87 Main Street, Jaffrey, NH. Military Honors will be held after the mass outside of church, burial will be held in the spring in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Jaffrey, NH.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Daniel's memory to the Good Neighbor Fund, P.O. Box 486, Jaffrey, NH.
