Doris Cabana Obituary
Bristol. Born and raised in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Alvie and Juliette (Michaud) Chabot.
She was a clerical worker for a number of years for Amica Insurance in Lincoln, before retiring a number of years ago. She had previously worked for the former U.S. Rubber Company in Woonsocket. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church in Woonsocket. Doris will be remembered as devoted to her family, extremely friendly and pleasant, and a lover of cats.
She is survived by a son, Stephen P. Cabana (Michelle) of Bristol, a daughter, Karen Jaensch of Ft. Meyers, FL, three grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a lifelong friend to many. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Yvonne Brien. Funeral services and burial was private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Silver Creek Manor "Activities Fund", 7 Creek Lane, Bristol, RI 02809. For online condolences and shared memories go to

So sad to know my friend Doris passed away, just went to Betty Vallee wake tonight with Eileen Cunningham, we worked with doris at Amica in the microfilm dept, rest in peace Doris.

Very sorry to hear of Doris' passing. She was a great-aunt on my mother's side (Chabot). We wrote to each other many years ago a few times when I was tracing my genealogy. She will be missed.

I was so sad to hear of the passing of my special friend Doris. As a 20yr old starting at AMICA in my very first job, she was my guardian angel. Our age difference never mattered with all our great bus/lunch conversations. I was so Blessed to have her in my life even after leaving my job & be a stay at home Mom. I still proudly display the needlepoint she made for my bridal shower almost 28 years ago. RIP my friend I will cherish our memories together always
