Doris C. Duhamel

WOONSOCKET - Doris C. Duhamel 92, formerly of Jervis St. died January 24, 2018 at Bayberry Commons in Burrillville. She was the wife of the late Gerard Duhamel. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Cora (Riendeau) Cote. Doris was the desk clerk for the Woonsocket Motor Inn for thirty two years. She had previously worked in textiles at the former Argonne Worsted Mills and as a hostess at the former Eldorado Restaurant.
She is survived by two sons, Gerard Duhamel of Woonsocket, and John Duhamel of N. Smithfield; three daughters Frances Doire of Dayville, CT, Nancy Boucher of Bluffton, SC, and Barbara Tessier of Virginia Beach, VA; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph's Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. The family will receive guests at church beginning at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Cumberland. In lieu of flowers donation to Bayberry Commons Activities, 181 Davis Dr., Burrillville, RI 02859 in her memory would be appreciated.
