Doris R. Dupuis

WOONSOCKET - Doris R. Dupuis, 98 of Second Avenue, died, Sunday, May 12, 2019 in the Hope Hospice & Palliative Care. She was the wife of the late Arthur A. Dupuis. Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Ernest and Merelise (Brissette) Pelland.
Doris worked for Murray Worsted, Tech Industry's for 9 years and Woonsocket Health Center for 7 years. She was also a recess monitor at Bernon Heights school for several years prior to retiring.
She enjoyed doing cross stitch, playing BINGO and playing pitch with friends. She belonged to a Pitch league at Deerfield Commons in N. Smithfield. She was also a breast cancer survivor. Doris was a former member of the Golden Hearts, a former communicant of St. Agatha's Church and was a former member of St. Agatha's Senior Citizens.
She is survived by her 6 children, Pauline Deslaurier of Woonsocket, William Dupuis and his wife Katherine of Cumberland, Yvonne Lacouture of Woonsocket, Linda Leblanc of Woonsocket, James Dupuis and his wife Diane of Manville and Edward Dupuis of Blackstone. And 1 brother, Raymond Pelland of East Greenwich, RI. 19 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
She was also the mother of the late Janice Ross.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 9 AM from the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd Woonsocket RI 02895 with a Mass of Christian burial at 10 AM in St. Agatha's Church 34 Joffre Ave Woonsocket, RI. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Farm St, Blackstone, MA. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours will be Friday, May 17th from 4-7 PM. dipardomcfh.com
