Earl Chartier Obituary

PAWTUCKET - Earl Francis Chartier, 91, passed away on December 8, 2016 at Cra-Mar Meadows nursing home from complications of Alzheimer's disease. Born September 10, 1925 to Napoleon and Alice Chartier, he was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket. He married his beloved wife Florence (Gagan) Chartier on May 30, 1950 having met at Rhodes-on-the-Pawtuxet dancing to the big bands of the 1940s.
He was father to three children Carol (deceased), Gordon Chartier of Westford Massachusetts, Jeannine Chartier of Providence RI, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was an employee of the RI Cardboard Company for many years and an active member of the LeFoyer Club. A Veteran of the US Navy, he served in World War II and the Korean War.
There will be a military honors burial ceremony for the family at the RI Veteran's Cemetery in Exeter, RI

Uncle Earl, you really were the best. Not only as my uncle but also as everything else. I learned much from you including how to put my all into everything, with a smile on my face. I am better off having been related to you and fondly look back on our dinner together 12 years ago.
