Edith L. Cassick

1923 - 2015

LINCOLN - Edith L. Cassick, 91, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Home, East Greenwich, R.I. surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Providence in 1923, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Lombard. She lived in Lincoln her entire life and graduated from Pawtucket East High School and Katherine Gibbs School of Business.
She was an avid card player, a friend to all animals and spent many happy hours with her family on Cape Cod. Her greatest joy was preparing wonderful meals for her family.
She is survived by her children Cheryl Kraske (Leroy) of Dubuque, Iowa, Arden Stewart (James) of Wellfleet, Mass., Vida Pontbriant (Bob Le Blanc) and David Cassick, Jr. (Kathy Faucher) of Lincoln, R.I. She is also survived by her grand-children Shane Kraske (Darla), Brent Kraske (Margaret), Brandace Borremmeo (Barney), Cassie Waterman, Angus Stewart, Blake Pontbriant (Frederick Krueger), Adam Pontbriant (Kayla Emery), Cassandra Horan (Steve) and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Elizabeth Home for their extraordinary care, which contributed to such a high quality of life in her final years.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A. M., Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Wesley United Methodist Church, 55 Woodland Street, Lincoln, R. I.
