Edna K. Duffy

WOONSOCKET - Edna K. (Mulvey) Duffy, 91, of St. Joseph St. died Sunday, February 1, 2015 in Trinity Health Center.
She was the wife of the late Edward F. Duffy.
Born in Providence, RI, daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Shugrue) Mulvey
Edna worked as a dental assistant for several years, was also in sales for the former McCarthy's Store, and she was a secretary for the Woonsocket School Department for 5 years. She graduated from Woonsocket High School in 1941.
Edna enjoyed knitting, quilting, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her two sons Michael E. Duffy and his wife Lois, of North Smithfield, RI., Mark "Chuck" Duffy, of Millville, MA. and one daughter Kathleen M. Laplume and her husband Paul of North Smithfield. Three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was also the sister of the late Walter Berry and Gladys Danis, and grandmother to the late Michael M. Duffy.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday February 27, 2015 at 11 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, Church St. North Smithfield, RI. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone, MA at a later date. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are on Thursday February 26, 2015 from 5-7 PM in the S.DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI.
