Edward Courchene Obituary

ATTLEBORO - Edward A. Courchene, 80, of South Attleboro, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth M. (Beaulieu) Courchene for 59 years. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Eugene Courchene and Albertine (Picard) Dubois. He was the step-son of the late Emile Dubois.
Edward was a United States Air Force veteran and worked as an extruder operator in the paper industry for many years until retiring. He was an avid sports enthusiast and especially enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
Besides his beloved wife, he leaves a loving daughter, Karen E. Courchene of South Attleboro; five siblings, Janice Strahan and Charlene Lawless both of The Villages, FL, Norman Courchene of Jacksonville, FL, Barry Dubois of Cumberland and Robert Lindsey in Virginia and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Ernest and Robert Courchene.
His funeral will be held on Monday at 9 a.m. from the WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Church, 18 Baltic St., South Attleboro. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland. VISITATION will be Sunday 2 to 5 p.m. Flowers are welcome, or if desired, memorial gifts to the Brockton VA Medical Center, Voluntary Services (SCIU), 940 Belmont St., Brockton, MA 02301, ATTN: Joanie Lynch (On Check "memo" line please specify: SCI) will be appreciated.
