Eleanor Cotton Obituary
Eleanor was an avid bingo player, loved Foxwoods, Atlantic City and was a dedicated volunteer for Cumberland Senior Center.
She had been employed as a production supervisor for Hasbro Industries, Newport Ave, Pawtucket for 47 years. Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Donna Gargano and her husband John, and Susan Cotton and her wife Terry, a granddaughter, Katelyn Gargano, a sister, Norma Rodrigues and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Doris LaFrance, Peter Bessette, Germaine Campbell, Theresa Lemire and Norman Bessette.
Her funeral will be held Friday, Sept. 22nd at 8:45am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church, Pine St, Pawtucket at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Kindred Hospice (kindredhospice.com) or the Alzheimer's Association, 245 Waterman St, Ste. 306, Providence RI 02906. Auntie Eleanor was a beautiful soul with a wonderful smile. When she saw you walk into a room or event, she made you feel like she she couldn't wait for you to arrive. Always with a huge hug and smile, she made you feel special.
She was my godmother and I could not have asked for a better person.
She loved her family and friends unconditionally.
God was waiting with open arms to welcome you to paradise. Say hi to my mom for me.
I am certain you will continue to watch over us.
