Ellen Houle Obituary
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Anna (Breton) Berthiaume. She resided in Cumberland for many years, previously residing in Central Falls.
Mrs. Houle was a Medical Receptionist for Women and Infants Hospital Outpatient Lab for 12 years, retiring in 1994.
She was a communicant of St. Aidan Church, Cumberland, a den mother for Pack I Notre Dame Cub Scouts for 5 years, and a volunteer at Women and Infants Hospital.
She leaves her one daughter, Elaine Brothers of Pascoag; two sons son, Paul A. Houle of Downingtown, PA, Albert Houle of Coventry; her two sisters, Rochelle Lemere of Westport, and Betty-Ann Lyon of Warwick; her eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Alfred Houle and Robert "Fuzzy" Houle; and sister of the late Doris Bissonnette, Robert Berthiaume, Norman Berthiaume, Alice Cloutier, Pauline Blake and Annette Lepire.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday at 9:30 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Aidan Church, Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Burial will held in the Notre Dame Cemetery. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting Hours will be held Friday from 5 to 8 PM.
