Florence E. Lancaster

LINCOLN -- Florence E. (Tattersall) Lancaster, died peacefully in her sleep on Friday, May 22, at the Holiday Skilled Nursing Center in Manville.

She was the wife of the late David Lancaster.

Florence was born in North Providence, a daughter of the late George and Florence (Cloutier) Tattersall.

Mrs. Lancaster was a cashier at the former Outlet Stores, and also worked in the repair department of A.T. Cross for over 15 years.

She has lived in Lincoln since 1955, coming from North Providence, and she was a former member of the Smithfield Avenue Congregational Church.

She was a very devoted grandmother to her grandchildren.

Mrs. Lancaster is survived by her son, David, and his wife, Cynthia Lancaster, of Attleboro; her brother, Thomas Tattersall, of Hopedale; and her sister ,Helen Benn, of Florida.

She was the grandmother of Eric Lancaster, Amy Venkatachalan, and twins Sarah Lancaster and Meghan Lancaster, She was also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Gordon Tattersall, George Tattersall, Lawrence Tattersall, Doris Cimini, Bessie Poluvatzick, and Hope Lancaster.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, May 26, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the MERRICK R. WILLIAMS Funeral Home, 530 Smithfield Ave., Pawtucket.

Burial will be private.
