Francis Mecchi Obituary
Mr. Mecchi was born in Pawtucket, a son to the late Frank and Leah (Forget) Mecchi. Frank was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket.
After serving his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, he worked as a warehouse manager for United Surgical in Warwick and Lavine Distributing in Providence.
Mr. Mecchi is survived by his daughter Cheryl Ann Mecchi (Roque) of Gentry, AR, his grandchildren, Christopher and Matthew Roque, great-grandchildren Zoe, Emily, and Tenley Roque and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a son Steven A. Mecchi and a brother Raymond J. Mecchi, Sr.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Mecchi on Saturday, April 18, at 10:00 am in Holy Family Parish Church, Walcott Street, Pawtucket. His burial with full military honors will be in Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours will be Friday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 2374 Post Road, Suite 206, Warwick, RI 02886. For directions and online condolences, please visit www.manningheffern.com.
