Gary Grace Obituary
Besides his mother, he is survived by a brother, Gerald Grace, his companion, Joann Stojek; godson, Dylan J Grace; sister in law Debra Durant and her husband Geoffrey Durant and two nieces Diandra Durant and Courtney Durant.
He was accomplished and talented in the area of automotive body work, working in that field for most of his life. He lived out his dream of owning a house in the woods when he and his late wife Nancy bought their land in Maine in 1996 and together build the cabin where they indulged their passion of snowmobiling. He enjoyed camping, hiking and spending time with his Beagle, Hunter. Gary was known for his ingenuity, survival skills and ability to take a twig and a band-aid and build you a ride home.
He was an accomplished dirt bike rider and heavily involved in the King Philip Trail Riders Motorcycle Club when he was younger.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Friday, June 5, from 5-8pm in the Costigan-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket. Burial will be private. www.oneillfuneralhomes.com

I met Gary when I was a paperboy, delivering the newspaper to Caito's auto body on Benefit St. I was 14 and had just bought my first dirt bike. I didn't know how to change a tire, so Gary did it. He then invited me to go riding with him and his brother and couple of other guys. Jid and Moe I think they were called. Gary taught me how to ride a dirt bike, and I still race today. I'm 46. I went to Florida for 20 years and came back to RI recently. I wanted to go riding again with Gary, and came upon this very sad news. He made me the dirt biker I am today. He will be missed.

So sorry, to hear of Gary's passing! It truly breaks my heart! We met in grammar school, and have always been friends, not close but always surely happy to see each other and remember old times! His skills working on cars will never be duplicated. I will miss him. He will always be a treasured friend to me.

To the Grace family, you have all been a large part of our lives for many years. You watched our children grow and this is something they will always remember. It saddens me for your loss as well as ours. There are so many memories of Gary with us from becoming my brother in law, to Godfather of our son Jarrad. He will always and forever be in our hearts.
