George Remedes Obituary
NORTH SMITHFIELD - George J. Remedes, 91, of North Smithfield, RI passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at the Hope Health Hospice Center, in Providence, RI. He was the beloved husband for 66 years of Wanda J.
(Human) Remedes and the loving father of Georgia Remedes-Ross of Amsterdam, NY, Martin Remedes (Debbie) of Colorado Springs, CO, and his late sons Jimmy and Joseph Remedes. He leaves his cherished grandchildren Chrissy McIntyre (Michael), Julie Ross (Jeff), Shelby Ross, Nate Remedes (Jill), Tyler Remedes (Nicole), Summer Remedes, and great-grandchildren, Kali, Isaac, Laila, Amya, Jeffery, and Dylan.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, June 9th at Cartier's Funeral Home, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA from 4:30PM to 6:30PM with a Prayer Service at 5PM. A private burial with his son James Remedes will be on Wednesday, June 12th at the Park Cemetery, Scotia, NY.

As your picture, and then your obituary, rolled up my screen...a tear rolled down my cheek. What a loving and caring man and wonderful family. My love and prayers are with you always, not just during this especially difficult time. I can just picture him, all gowned up and sitting in the NICU holding my youngest daughter and talking so sweet to her. I will always feel blessed by the love and support from your family. He will be missed, dearly.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. I have been bringing Communion to George and Wanda for about two years now, they are such a sweet couple. They were friends of my parents for years so I was so happy when I was asked to bring them communion. May you rest in peace George, you will not be forgotten.
