George Stolasz Obituary
He was the loving husband to Donna (Ryder) Stolasz. Born Nov. 24, 1943, in Woonsocket he was the son of the late George and Ida (Samek) Stolasz. He was employed as a steel fabricator for many years at various iron-metal works companies in the local area. He then retired from the Bellingham School Dept. He served in the Army Corp of Engineering in the Army National Guard. He was an avid wildlife enthusiast, especially studying all species of birds. His favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing and learning the history of World War II.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Michael Stolasz of Central Falls and Robert Stolasz of Glocester; two brothers, Joseph Stolasz of Melbourne, Fla.; Theodor "Ted" and his wife Louise Stolasz of Bristol. R.I.; two step-daughters, Christine Paupst of Pascoag, and Sandra Corin of Coventry. Also, six step-grandchildren.
His Funeral will be Thursday, (Aug. 16) at 10 a.m. from the Kubaska Funeral Home, 33 Harris Ave., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 174 Harris Ave., Woonsocket.
Burial will be private, relatives and friends are invited. Visitation hours are Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Rhode Island Chapter, 245 Waterman St., STE 306, Providence, RI, 02906.
