Helen Loiselle Obituary

WOONSOCKET - Helen Eleanor (Wonoski) Loiselle, 95, of Rhodes Avenue, died May 19, 2017, in The Friendly Home, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Oreance "Pat" Loiselle.

Born in Cambridge, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Karl and Eleanora (Sluinski) Wonoski. She previously lived in Holliston, Mass., and Milford before coming to Woonsocket in 1952.

Mrs. Loiselle graduated from Milford High in 1939, where she was well known for her basketball playing. She began her career working as an office clerk for the former Draper Corp., Hopedale, and then worked 20 years for the former Warwick Shoppers World and Zayre as an inventory clerk, retiring in 1984. Helen was a member of the Royal Travelers and travelled frequently with her husband.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane Turcotte, and her husband Marc, of North Smithfield, as well as two granddaughters, Danielle and Nicole. She was the sister of the late Charles Wonoski and Catherine Iannitelli.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at 9 a.m. from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 414 South Main St., Woonsocket.

Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, 314 Wrentham Road, Bellingham.

Calling hours are Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd. #3004, Warwick, RI 02886.
