Helen I Mumford

WOONSOCKET - Helen I Mumford 88, of Laurier St. passed away on January 2, 2023, at the home of her son. She was the wife of the late Everett T. Mumford. Born in Burrillville, she was a daughter of the late Malcolm and Annie (Simpson) McCutcheon. Helen was an RN for Woonsocket Health and Rehabilitation Center for twenty years and then the Wrentham State School for thirteen years before retiring. She was a member of the Woonsocket Senior Center and an avid Cribbage player. Helen was known to enjoy fine dining and a good Manhattan.

She is survived by her son Gary Mumford and his wife Jessica, of Greenville, siblings Ellen Houle of Burrillville, and Donald McCutcheon of Naples, FL, and three grandchildren, Sam, Luke, and Rebecca. She was predeceased by her siblings Beth Guilbault, Barbara Caya, Dorothy Adams, Malcolm McCutcheon Jr., and Allen McCutcheon.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at 10:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Acotes Hill Cemetery in Chepachet. In lieu of flowers donations to Senior Services Inc., 84 Social St,. Woonsocket, RI 02895 in her memory would be appreciated.
