Helene Courtemanche Obituary
A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Marie F. (Marcotte) Plante. Helene was a Registered Nurse in the Delivery Room at the Memorial Hospital for 25 years until retiring in 1993. She enjoyed bowling in years past.
She leaves four sons, Donald L. Courtemanche, of Pawtucket, Frederick Courtemanche, of North Smithfield, Dennis J. Courtemanche, of Pawtucket, and Gerald Courtemanche, of Texas; a brother, Robert Plante of Pawtucket; two sisters, Dolly Plante, of Salem, Mass., and Sister Estelle Plante; eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Henry Plante, Maurice Plante, Jeannette Brunelle and Theresa Lemieux.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave. Interment will follow at North Burial Ground, Providence.

So many things I wish I could have shared with you over the last 15 years of your battle with Alzheimer's. I will never forget how many things you taught me about life- love ( mostly through your soap operas)- and the incredible strength it took to be a mother of four boys. Your bathrobe and butter container full of cereal at two in the afternoon was always a welcome sight when I arrived home from school. You were dynamite in a pint size- package- and all of Sea-Biscuit Place knew it. Give them hell up there Memere! à bientôt ❤

Our thoughts and prayers go out to my dad Robert Plante and the rest of his family for the loss of his sister our Aunt Helen. My siblings and I spent many weekends at Aunt Helen's growing up. Her house was always filled with family on the weekends. I will always cherish those memories. Love Robbie
