Herbert Gaston Obituary
Fernande "Fern" M. (Messier) Gaston for forty-two years. Born in Starkville, Mississippi, he was one of nine children of the late John Davis and Annie M. (Savage) Gaston.
Herb served in the United States Army just following World War II and went on to a career as a heavy equipment operator for many years until his retirement. His greatest pastime was flying, and he was proud of becoming a licensed pilot and aviator.
Besides his beloved wife, he leaves four sons, Dennis, Scott, Keith and Gregory; eleven grandchildren, a great-grandson and many nieces and nephews. Herb was predeceased by all eight of his siblings.
VISITATION will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Services will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 would be appreciated.
