Bert, rest easy my true friend. When you get to heaven please look up my son Chris (you met him once at Customs House). He will be waiting there for you I am sure. Bernie

It feels like a dream. I feel that he will show up next minute and tease me with his well-known dry humor. Bert, my father-in-law is one of the kindest souls I have ever met. He touched many people's lives, including mine. He treated me like his own daughter. He often told me that he loved me and he was proud of me. His biological son, Michael Cournoyer, used to be the general manager in South Bay Courtyard by Marriott hotel. Although he is not working any more, Michael remains as one of the most respected managers in the Marriott world in MA. He is the most important father figure in his other son, Craig Drew's life, who is the the general manager of general motor car dealership. He loved his job. He was very proud of what he was doing. He loved his staff. He spoke highly about his boss, Willy Ngada, the GM of Custom House Vacation Club in Boston. He is one of the hardest workers I have ever known. As many of you have heard the story: he really enjoyed his outing with his staff on Wednesday 7/30, the day before he left us. He was a man of action. He didn't talk as much. He loved his families and did his best to take care of us. His love was evident in his actions. Last but not the least, the person he loved most was his wife, my mother-in-law, Vivian Cournoyer. They were the most romantic couple I know. They have been deeply in love with each other for over 41 years and had celebrated their 40-year anniversary last year. As we all know, Bert is a man of "life". He wanted to live his life to its full extent. For a 61-year man, he still had a lot of plans and dreams. He always wanted to live his life and enjoy his life. I am sure that he is still with us. I am sure he is watching us and he wants everyone of us, his family he loved so dearly, to "LIVE" and enjoy our lives.
