To the Scott Family.
Please accept my sympathies for the loss of a true friend of RI football. Although we didn't always agree on calls,I always knew that he had our players' concerns, and safety at the forefront of his decisions. He was a man of honor and integrity. I was proud to have known him. He will be sorely missed around RI football circles. May your memories together be a source of strength through these trying times. My prayers and condolences.

Scotty was a man who brightened the lives of all around him. He was a mentor to many young officials through the years including me. When the time came for Scotty to leave the field you could count on him to remain active, helping the RIFOA in a any way that he could.

He was truly a BROTHER official and a man I am happy to have called a friend.

To the Scott Family,
May I extend my deepest sympathy. I got to know Irv through the High School Football Officials Association during my years as the Athletic Director at North Providence High School. One of the most knowledgeable and likeable guys around. He was very instrumental in helping us be one of the first schools in the state to have retired officials keeping an official scoreboard clock in the press box. Folks like Irv are appreciated by anyone involved in high school sports. I appreciated him and I wish your family to remember all the good times during this difficult period.
