J. Robert Obituary
Born June 23, 1929, in Central Falls, RI, he was a son of the late Jean Baptiste Robert and Henriette (Robert) Robert. George served with the US Coast Guard during the Korean War.
He was the father of Michelle Robert of Pawtucket and the brother of the late Yvette Simpson, Alice "Claudette" Beauvais, Roger Robert and Louis "Ray" Robert. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and his dear friend Lise Turcotte.
His funeral will begin Tuesday at 9am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 346 Waterman Ave., East Providence. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be Monday, 5pm until 8pm.

I will always treasure the many years we spent together. The trips to Block Island and Martha's Vineyard. Also, the lazy afternoons on Revere Beach -the long days exploring Boston's treasures. Wonderful memories...will miss you.

George was a sweet, gentle, lovely man I got to know over the last 5 years. He was the dear friend of my mother, Edna (Mathurin) Grzyb, with whom he shared many good times traveling and eating out at their favorite restaurants. I saw George every year over the Christmas holidays with his daughter, Michelle, and he always had a kind word or a joke to share with a twinkle in his eye. We will miss you, George. Rest in peace.
