James A. Duhamel

Hampton Beach – James A. "Jim" Duhamel, 53, of Hampton Beach, died on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood after a period of failing health.

Jim was born on February 10, 1962 in Woonsocket, RI, a son of Come Duhamel of Woonsocket and the late Shirley (Allard) Duhamel.

Jim was raised in Woonsocket and had summered at Hampton Beach as a youth. He married the love of his life, Judith (McLean) Duhamel in 1991 and they settled in the family home at Hampton Beach to start their family. Jim loved to cook and attended Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI to hone his skills. He never sought employment in the culinary field but did prepare some fabulous holiday meals for his family and friends. Jim's beloved Judith, fell ill early on in their marriage and Jim devoted his life to being her caregiver. He patiently managed Judith's care and was able to have her at home for over 25 years.

In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by his loving daughter, Theresa E. "Terri" Duhamel of Hampton Beach and his brothers, Bryan of Richmond Heights, OH and Russell of Woonsocket. Jim will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends may visit from 11 am to 12:30 pm on Friday, October 23, 2015 in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home – Crematory, 811 Lafayette Rd., Hampton, NH. Jim's funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 pm following the visitation at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, 289 Lafayette Rd., Hampton. Burial will be in the High Street Cemetery, Hampton.
