James F. Malone

NORTH SMITHFIELD - James F. Malone, 76, of North Smithfield, RI passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Hopkins Manor, North Providence, RI. He was the beloved husband of the late Helene C. (Croteau) Malone. Born in Glasgow, Scotland on November 28, 1940, he was the son of the late Alexander and Annie (Findlay) Malone. He was the loving father of Michael D. Martin of Knoxville, TN, Mark G. Martin of Glendale, RI and Scott F. Malone and his wife, Melissa of Harrisville, RI. He leaves his cherished grandchildren, Jessica, Casey and Matthew Martin. He was the brother of Christina and Margret and the late Peter, Helen, Mary "Molly", Annie "Nancy", Alexander, Robert, Daniel, Teresa "Terry", and James. He also leaves many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A resident of North Smithfield, formerly of Bellingham, MA, James worked as a millwright at General Motors in Framingham, MA for many years. He enjoyed playing tennis, skiing and cycling. He was a member of Forecourt Tennis & Racquetball Club. He was devoted to his family and will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life for James and Helene will be held on Sunday, March 19th at 11AM at Coachmen's Lodge, 273 Wrentham Road, Bellingham, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
