Jean M. Laforge

NORTH SCITUATE - Jean M. (Duguay) Laforge, 78, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 10, 2023 with her family by her side in the Overlook Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Wilfred E. Laforge II.

Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Marie Harnois.

Jean worked for Baram's and a variety of other retail businesses in the area and lastly Dollar Tree store prior to retiring.

She enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino, crossword puzzles, crocheting, dancing in her younger days, and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her three children, Donna Goulden and her husband Kevin of North Scituate, David Laforge of Woonsocket, and Wilfred Laforge and his wife Reneé of Woonsocket. Two sisters, Helen Mule of PA and Michelle Farqhuar of Woonsocket. Two grand children, Melanie and Pamela. And two great grandchildren, Madison and Gavin.

She was also the sister of the late Debra Duguay and Kathy Page.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 10 AM in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave Woonsocket, RI. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Smithfield Rd. North Smithfield, RI. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. The S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd Woonsocket, RI 02895 is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital stjude.org would be appreciated.
