Jeannette T. Meunier

RUMFORD - Meunier, Jeannette T. "Jean" (Lachance), 107 of Rumford passed away Sunday May 3, 2015 at St. Antoine Residence. She was the wife of the late Ovide A. Meunier. Born in St. Johnsbury, Vermont she was the daughter of the late Aristide and Marie (Bisson) Lachance.
Jean was an Assistant Chief Operator for New England Telephone for 42 years, after retiring she was a Switchboard Operator for McLaughlin & Moran for 16 years. She was a member of the Telecom Pioneers of America and a communicant of St. Margaret Church.
She leaves one daughter, Jeannine M. Jackson and her husband Robert of Rumford, four grandchildren, Kevin Howard of West Barnstable, MA, Frances Lambert her husband Jeff of Pembroke, MA, Richard Meunier his wife Christine of Harrisville, and Pastor David Meunier his wife Lora of N. Attleboro, MA, fifteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Paul R. Meunier, and sister of the late Normand and Paul Lachance.
Her funeral will be held on Friday at 10 AM from the PERRY- MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Margaret Church, 1098 Pawtucket Avenue, Rumford. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham, MA. Calling hours Thursday 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to St. Antoine Residence 10 Rhodes Avenue, North Smithfield, RI 02896.
