Jeannnette A. Phaneuf

WOONSOCKET - Jeannnette A. (Martel) Phaneuf, 91, formerly of Newland Ave. passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at the St. Antoine Residence with her family by her side and has gone to be with our Lord. She was the wife of the late Alphonse J. Phaneuf. Born in Montreal, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Treffle and Yvonne Martel.
Jeannette moved to Rhode Island in 1948 from Canada. She worked for the French Worsted and was a Professional Seamstress in Woonsocket, for several years. She was also Co-Founder of the J.A. Phaneuf Oil Service. She was a former member of St. Joseph Senior Citizens, a Parishioner of St. Joseph Church and the Woonsocket Senior Center.
Jeannette was an avid traveler, she loved to play cards, shopping, cooking, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her four children, Micheline Epps of North Carolina and her late husband Ronald Epps, Louis Phaneuf and his wife Rachel of North Smithfield, Monique Kennedy and her husband Robert of Woonsocket, and Roland Phaneuf and his wife Jeanne of North Smithfield. Eight grandchildren; Shonda, Stephanie, Jason, Jennifer, Robert N., Kristen, Danielle, and Nicholas. Six great-grandchildren; Brett, Hayden, Mikayla, Isabella, Arion, Vera, and Ryan. She was also the sister of the late Yvette, Albina, Noel, Gilles, Alfred, and Lucien, whom all lived in Canada.
A Funeral Home Service will be held on Monday at 10 AM in the S.DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI. Burial will be in St. Jean the Baptist Cemetery Bellingham. MA.
