I remember Fr Allard as a caring, dedicated priest who never hesitated to be of service to those who needed his help. I would call him to come and offer Mass at our convent in Plainville Ma, and even on a very busy day, he found the time to come to minister to the 15 retired Sisters of Jesus and Mary. My sincere condolences to his family and to all who knew and loved him.

My condolences to the family of Msgr. John Allard. John did much for the youth of the Diocese of Providence and all who worked with him and knew him in many capacities.

Thirty years later, we still speak of the kindness and devotion of Fr Allard to his flock. My young son needed to talk to him about life and death....and faith. Father Allard spent his time willingly, spoke at length about these big issues and assured my son...we were blessed to have him as a spiritual leader. R.I.P.

I thank Father Allard for helping me discern my vocation. He is now safely cradled in the arms of Mary gazing at the face of Christ. My condolence to the family. When you pray to the Lord or Our Dear Heavenly Mother, talk to Father John. He will listen and serve as an intercessor. May the ineffable love and mercy of Christ bring you comfort. Rest assured of the prayers of the Carmelites.

Father John, you were a great friend, a calming presence and a joy to be around. Thank you for all the wonderful summer holidays at the lake house. I will remember them always. Please say hi to Dad, Maureen and the rest of the gang who have been waiting for your arrival. And if you and Dad are playing cribbage up there already...go easy on Dad with the double runs. Until we meet again, dear friend.
