John Koziol Obituary
CUMBERLAND - John W. Koziol Jr., 78, of Cumberland, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Apple Rehab Center in Westerly. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth (McGinn) Koziol.
Born in
Sunderland, England, he was the son of the late John W. and Catherine (White) Koziol Sr. He had resided in Cumberland for most of his life, most recently moving to Lincoln in 2020.
He received his Bachelor's Degree in Business from Bryant University.
Mr. Koziol was employed as a salesman for American Business Freight Inc. for many years. He also worked in the shipping and receiving department at Ann & Hope in Lonsdale for 28 years.
He was a communicant of the former St. Patrick Church. He enjoyed running and gardening.
He is survived by his two sons, Kevin J. Koziol of Hope Valley, RI, and Brian J. Koziol of Cortlandt Manor, NY; his brother, Ronald Koziol of Pawtucket; his two sisters, Darlene Letourneau and Elaine DiLorenzo, both of Cumberland; his two grandchildren, Bethany Koziol and Joshua Koziol; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to John's Life Celebration, which will include Visiting Hours on Monday, September 30, 2024 from 4 to 7 PM, and continue on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 9 AM at the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM at St. Aidan/St. Patrick Parish, Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
