John M. Sonner Jr.

WOONSOCKET - John M. Sonner Jr., 65, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 18th. He was a Pawtucket native and the son of the late John M. Sonner Sr. and Rita H. (Fontaine) Sonner.
In his early life, John attended school in Pawtucket, was a proud member of the Junior Naval Cadets and a dedicated student of karate. Later in life, he resided at Blackstone Falls Elderly Housing where those who knew him loved his mayoral personality. He was also an active member of the Central Falls YMCA for several years.
In his spare time, John enjoyed going fishing, playing cards and listening to music, especially Elvis and Johnny Cash.
Those who remain to cherish his memory are his sisters; Kathleen A. Dickinson and Margaret (Peggy) J. Sydor both of South Attleboro, and Jo-Ann M. Starsiak of Pawtucket along with four nieces and two nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to John & #39's Life Celebration beginning with Visiting Hours on Sunday, February 3rd, from 1-3 PM followed by a 3pm Prayer Service at the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Cumberland, RI. Burial Service to be held on Monday, February 4 th, 10:00am at The Notre Dame Cemetery, Dagget Ave., Pawtucket, RI.
