Joyce C. Ayotte

NORTH SMITHFIELD - Joyce C. Ayotte, 82, of N Smithfield, died September 11, 2023 at The Holiday, Manville, RI. She was the wife of Gerald P. Ayotte of N Smithfield. Born in Great Barrington, MA she was born to the late Elbridge and Louise (Taylor) Besaw and raised by her adopted parents the late Levi and Lorene (Besaw) Gibney.

Joyce worked as a certified Med Tech at The Holiday in Manville, RI. She loved her family, enjoyed going on Facebook, country music, and reading. Joyce especially loved Disney, Winnie the Pooh, and everything Christmas.

Besides her husband Gerald, she is survived by her son, Paul Meyette & wife Dorian, of Pawtucket, RI; two daughters, Carol Bedford, of Woonsocket, RI, Laurie Palmer & husband Loren, of Johnston, RI; 2 brothers, Rodney Besaw, of Utah, Ryan Besaw, of Florida; her sister, Sandra Besaw Pack, of Florida; 11 grandchildren, Michelle, Christine, Denise, Allison, Danielle, Patrick, Riley, Sarah, Laura, Beth, Amanda; 12 great grandchildren; & 1 great-great granddaughter. She was the sister of the late Paul Besaw.

A memorial will be held Mon, Sept 25, 2023 at 5p with a service starting at 6p at Holt Funeral Home, 510 S Main Street, Woonsocket, RI. A burial of ashes with a graveside memorial will be held Tue, Sept 26, 2023 at 10a in St. Jean-Baptiste Cemetery, 310 Wrentham Rd, Bellingham, MA.
