I just now read about his passing. I remember he was my father´s friend and coworker and would visit our home on occasion when I was a kid back in the 1970s. My condolences to the August family!

My sincerest sympathies. I knew Ken while growing up in Manville, Rhode Island. There was C.Y.O., Carnivals, dances, parades back then under the guidance of Father Roger Marot. All teenagers were kept active at St. James Catholic Church. May Kenny R.I.P.

Maureen and the entire "Kenny August Circle":
Maureen, you and I have never met, and I hadn't seen Kenny in a couple of decades. That doesn't matter at all.
I met Kenny some 40 years ago while he was renovating Marriott hotels. I liked him from the moment I met him. Honest, straightforward and funny. No better combination.
His range of knowledge was impressive. When an elderly tenant of mine was no longer able to go to the basement laundry room, Kenny gave me a retractable line used in hotels so my tenant could hand her damp washed clothing over the tub. Small item that is some 40 years old. I'll never forget it.
I hope your pleasant memories of Kenny help to soften the blow of this loss.
