Kenneth Mac Gregor Obituary
Kenneth was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War Era where he proudly served with the 101st Airborne Division. He worked as an Industrial Engineer and Consultant for many area manufacturing firms over many years until his retirement. After retirement he worked tirelessly in humanitarian efforts with folks struggling with alcohol and drug addictions.
Kenneth was also the founder of the RI Council on Problem Gambling. In his younger years, Kenneth struggled with Alcoholism and was able to overcome it; achieving 48 years of sobriety. Through his work he helped many hundreds and possibly thousands over the years to sobriety and recovery.
Kenneth leaves six sons and one daughter, Kenneth F. Mac Gregor in Florida, Rob Roy Mac Gregor in South Carolina, Joseph Mac Gregor in Georgia, Joseph D. Mac Gregor of Pascoag, Jaime T. M. Mac Gregor of Holyoke, MA., Justin A. Mac Gregor of North Providence, and Julia M. Bertrand of RI., as well as many beloved grand- children and great grandchildren. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He was the father of the late Marie A. Gonder and the late Lynn A. Mac Gregor and the brother of the late Lucille LoPresti, Phillip and Paul Mac Gregor.
Visitation will be held on Friday May 27th, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket RI. Services with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, May 28th, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Calvin Presbyterian Church 126 Angell Rd. Cumberland, RI. 02864, followed by interment at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, 1 Rhode Island Ave. Johnston RI. 02919. All Venues are open to all who knew him and loved him.

It's so hard without you here. I miss you so much. Thank you for always being there for me. The girls would of loved you. Your my Angel now I know that. But each passing day isn't easier There are days where I just want to call n say hi. I have pages full of letters to you. How I wish you were here. This day was the funniest day I had with Kenny. He had a thing about hats. the hat does not fit him he had ordered a big hat and wanted everybody to try it on so he could laugh. If I could get that one day back I would love to get that back. I've known Kenny about 20 years. He was a great guy he did a lot of service work for God. Rest in peace

Kenny you meant the world to me you've been there for me since I was 18 years old you would just like another father to me it broke my heart to see you go going to know that you will be going to heaven and miss you so much right now you were one of the best men I ever knew so not full of greed open your house to all you are just the most wonderful man that I've ever met you will be missed you will be missed so much I just don't know what to do now it's like I was there every week coming to see you I love you Kenny God bless you

My deepest sympathy to Kenny's family. My wife and I contribute the life we have today to the opportunity your Dad had given to us 3years ago. He allowed us to enter his house as a couple which is unheard of, that decision allowed us to focus on our recovery and be able to support each other. Your Dad was a man that wasn't afraid to make a decision that went against norn when he believed in someone, for his courage we are truly grateful. We will never forget Kenny, He will be missed. We are sorry for your loss.

Kenny you and I shared many laughs, some tears, and a lot of love over the years. Your boys have grown into young men that are a tribute to you. We will miss you and your quick wit with a joke and always a hug or a boot in the pants if it was needed. I hope you are up in heaven playing cribbage, and beating everyone.
