Lena DiLorenzo

CUMBERLAND - Lena DiLorenzo, 90, of Cumberland, died May 22, 2016. She was the wife of the late Frank DiLorenzo. Born
in Lincoln, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Silva) Silva. Mrs. DiLorenzo had lived in Lincoln for many years and Cumberland for 42 years.
She was a Registered Nurse. During her working career she had been employed for the State of RI Dept. of Public Health, Memorial and Roger Williams Hospitals, Frigon Nursing Home, Davok Nursing Home, Gray Rock Rest Home, Christine's Rest Home and Ann's Rest Home.
Mrs. DiLorenzo received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from Boston College School of Nursing Class of 1960. She held an Administration License and an Activities Director License in the State of RI, and was a member of RI State Nurses Association. She was a past President of the Nurse's Alumni of Pawtucket Memorial, a facilitator for the Grieving Group at the Monastery and a member of St. Aidan's and St. John Vianney's Senior Citizens Groups.
She is survived by her son Francis D. DiLorenzo and his wife Lynda of Cumberland; her sister Mary Bedard of Cumberland; grandchildren Peter, Nicholas and his wife Valerie and Andrea DiLorenzo; great grandchildren Aidan and Arabella DiLorenzo and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Anthony, James, George and Joseph Silva, Annie Fortin, Beatrice Smock and Alice Silva.
Her funeral will be held on Friday at 8:30 am from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Historic St. Joseph Church, 1303 Mendon Rd., Cumberland. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland. Visiting hours are Thursday evening from 5-7. www.LincolnFuneralHome.org
