Leona T. "Terry" Morin

1921 - 2016

BELLINGHAM MA. - Leona T. "Terry" (Desmarais) Morin, 95, of Bellingham, MA, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 11, 2016 at the Ballou Home in Woonsocket, RI, with loving family by her side. She is the beloved wife of the late Adelard B. "Babe" Morin. Born in Woonsocket on September 21, 1921, she is the daughter of the late Arthur and Leona (Bouchard) Desmarais. She is the loving mother of Diane Akroyd and her husband, Bob of Raton, New Mexico, Muriel Dicks and her husband, Leslie of Belingham, MA, Elaine Qua and her husband, Gary of Bellingham, MA and the late Jeanne M. Dobrowolski. She leaves her cherished grandchildren Karen, Lisa and Kevin, and her great-grandchildren. She is the sister of the late Roland Desmarais. She leaves her niece Lorraine Peloquin.
A resident of Bellingham and Woonsocket where she was raised, Terry had worked at Almac's and McCarthy's. She was a communicant of St. Blaise Church and the former Assumption Church.
She enjoyed traveling and shopping. Devoted to her family, she will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Friday, November 18th with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. Blaise Church, 1158 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland, RI. There are no visiting hours. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
