Louis Gilbert

CENTRAL FALLS - Louis Gilbert 89, of Bunnell, Florida passed away Sunday February 8, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Georgette L. (Chaput) Gilbert. They were married for 62 years.
Born in Central Falls he was a son of the late Joseph and Jennie (Shabo) Gilbert.
Before retiring he was a self employed Tailor in Central Falls for many years,
Mr. Gilbert was a WWII Retired Navy Veteran serving for 30 years. He served in the Pacific as a Ship's Tailor.
Besides his wife Louis leaves his loving daughter Debbie Gilbert of Florida. He also leaves two sisters Mary Kolodziej of Pawtucket and Emily Whyte of Turnersville, NJ, nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Gabriel, George, William and Morris Gilbert.
Mr. Gilbert's funeral with Military Honors will be held Tuesday March 24, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. from the Karol A. Romenski & Sons Funeral Home, 342 High Street, Central Falls with a Funeral Liturgy in St. Ephraim's Syrian Orthodox Church, 215 Washington Street, Central Falls at 10:00 a.m.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend. CALLING HOURS MONDAY FROM 4:00 P.M. TO 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations in his Memory to St. Ephraim's Church would truly be appreciated. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
