Madeleine Heroux Obituary
Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Beatrice (Gendron) Heroux.
A graduate of Pembroke University in Providence, receiving her bachelors degree, she was part of a team that helped restore Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia. Upon her return to Rhode Island, she was employed as an Executive Secretary for Starkweather and Shepley Insurance Corp for many years before becoming employed as an Executive Secretary for the Providence Journal, retiring in 1996. Madeleine was also employed in her family business of L.Heroux and Son, Inc.
Madeleine leaves one sister, Constance Lischio of North Kingstown, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Gerard A. Heroux, Beatrice R. Heroux, Pauline H. Gingras, and Jacqueline Pirani.
Calling hours will be held Saturday morning February 17, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in the Darlington Mortuary of L. Heroux & Son 1042 Newport Avenue Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Cecilia's Church 1253 Newport Avenue Pawtucket. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Hope Hospice and Palliative Care of Rhode Island 1085 North Main Street Providence 02904 would be greatly appreciated.
