Margaret Moran Obituary

Margaret R.

"Peggy" Moran,

MILLVILLE - Margaret R. "Peggy" Moran, a beacon of kindness and selflessness, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, at the Milford Regional Medical Center with her family by her side.

Born on May 9, 1951, in Milford, Peggy's life was one marked by dedication to her family, her faith, and her community. She was the beloved wife of John L. "Jack" Moran III, with whom she shared 54 years of cherished memories.

A graduate of Milford High School in 1969, Peggy was the loving daughter of the late Gerard and Rose Guertin. Her commitment to education was evident through her over 25 years of service as a paraprofessional in the Blackstone-Millville Regional School District. Peggy's influence extended beyond the classroom, touching the lives of countless students and educators with her thoughtfulness and care.

Peggy's devotion to her family was unwavering. She was the mother of Christopher P. Moran and his wife Michelle of Blackstone, Stephen J. Moran of Napa City, California, Mark J. Moran of Seattle, Washington, and Matthew F. Moran of Millville. She also was the grandmother to two grandchildren.

Her brothers, Donald Guertin and his wife Debra of Bellingham, and Stephen Guertin and his wife Theresa of Douglas, will fondly remember Peggy's warmth and kindness. She was a treasured aunt to many nieces and nephews. Peggy was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Lynn Moran in 2016, her brother Gerard F. Guertin and his late wife Deborah, and her sister Lisa M. Guertin, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Peggy's passion for her Catholic faith was evident to all who knew her. For many years, she took great pride in serving as a Lector at the former St. Augustine Church in Millville, and was a member of St. John's Church in Slatersville, Rhode Island. Her faith guided her through life's challenges and joys, and she found solace and strength in her religious community.

Her interests were as diverse as they were rich; she was a longtime season ticket holder at the Providence Performing Arts Center, enjoying the cultural vibrancy it brought into her life. Peggy relished trips to the California wine country, delighting in the beauty of the vineyards and the pleasure of a fine wine. Time spent with friends, cooking, listening to music, and trips to the beach in Maine were sources of great joy for Peggy, who always valued the simple pleasures of good company and beautiful surroundings.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025 from 4 - 7 PM in the Buma Funeral Home, 101 N. Main St., Rte 122, Uxbridge, MA.
