Marie Hendrickson Obituary
Born in Bellingham, MA, she was the daughter of Charles and Muriel (Bibeault) Spear also of Bellingham.
Besides her husband she is survived by her three children, Albert Hendrickson the 3rd, William Hendrickson and Marissa Hendrickson. Her precious grandchildren Chelsea, Gwyneth and Wesley Hendrickson. Five siblings, Debra Kerr, Christine Borge, Cathy Gaffney, James Spear, Charles Spear, and many nieces and nephews.
Marie owned and operated MS. Roofing and Restoration of Woonsocket from 1990 to 2015. Her career in a male dominated world is chronicled in the book, "A Feminine Touch" about the strong female entrepreneurs of Woonsocket. Marie was a proud member of the American Women's Business Association and was also an active member of the Northern Rhode Island Women's Investment Club where she acted as President, Vice President and Secretary.
She had a passion for helping other women affected with cancer and spent much of her time volunteering for the American Cancer Society where she participated in the Reach to Recovery, Look Good Feel Better and Wellness Counts Program. Marie was also a top fundraiser in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island for the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer where "Tee-Rie's Team" walked since 2008.
Marie truly enjoyed the life she was given spending her free time with her family and friends. She loved to be outdoors and looked forward to riding her Harley Davidson with her soul mate Al. Marie was an avid traveler and also loved the ocean, reading, gardening, Cosmo martinis, cooking and laughing. Marie was a talented artist and painter and also the owner of Wine and Design where she shared her talents with others.
Marie will truly be missed by her family and close friends who were all touched by her sense of humor, kindness, compassion and love of life. Her family would like to thank the Women and Infants Oncology Team, and VNA Hospice of New England for the wonderful care she received.
A celebration of her life will be held MONDAY, April 27, 2015 at 9 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Theresa Church, 630 Rathbun Street, Blackstone, MA. Burial will follow in the Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting Hours will be held SUNDAY, April 26, 2015 from 4 to 8 PM.

I was so sad to hear of Marie's passing. I was blessed to grow up with her in Bellingham - Assumption School and then on to Bellingham High School. I am so glad that I got a chance to see Marie and Al at our 40th class reunion at Pete's Bluebird back in November '14. We had a lot of laughs through the years. I will always remember Marie for her strength, beauty, and how much she enjoyed life. Tee-Rie's Team will live on for years to come - I will treasure my t-shirt and wear it proudly at every event.
