Mary McDade Obituary
Midge was born on December 9, 1942 in Providence, Rhode Island to William Birchmeier and Mary (Lynch) Birchmeier of Pawtucket, RI. She graduated from Tolman High School in Pawtucket and attended the nursing program at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, Massachusetts.
In 1962 she married James McDade. She was a stay- at-home mother to Douglas McDade and Derrith McDade in Pawtucket, RI and later Seekonk, MA. She cared for her mother for several years in Seekonk.
Midge was predeceased by her father and mother and sister Joan Derrick. She is survived by her husband, Jim, her son Douglas McDade (Lynne) of Conway SC, and her daughter Derrith Guadagni of Fairlee, her grandsons Corey and Keith McDade of Queens, NY, Jack Guadagni of Concord, NH, and Daniel Guadagni of Fairlee and her step granddaughter Katharine Gonsalves of Seattle Washington. Her family would like to express their gratitude to Midge's caregivers Mick and Alyssa from the AD Partnership for friendly and compassionate assistance and care for Midge and to BAYADA Hospice and Health for the care of her doctor, nurses, nurse aides and various specialist advisors for their comprehensive medical and emotional care for Midge which made is possible to keep her at home during the final months of her life.
By Midge's express wishes, there will be no services or viewings and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
