1979 - 2019

HARRISVILLE - Michael T. Michaud, 40, of Harrisville, RI passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 6, 2019 with his loving family by his side. Born in Woonsocket, RI on July 13, 1979, he is the son of Lucien A. Michaud and Pamela J. (Pennington) Michaud. He is survived by his brother, Marc C. Michaud of East Killingly, CT and his niece and nephew Victoria Shields-Michaud and Caleb O'Reilly-Michaud, both of whom he adored.
Mike attended Burrillville High School. He enjoyed traveling and worked as a cook within the National Park system, where his love of nature was fulfilled in the wild and rugged mountains of Montana. In his travels he befriended people from all over the world and cherished and nurtured these friendships his whole life.
He enjoyed sports, especially basketball. His love of music led him to learn to play guitar. He was happiest when writing lyrics and playing his music, a pastime he often shared with his brother. He was a voracious reader and wrote often, exploring and playing with the words he enjoyed so much.
But most of all, Michael felt honored and blessed to have the love and closeness of those he called friend and family. That was his love. That was his strength.
Funeral will be held on Saturday, August 10th at 10AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM at St. John The Evangelist Church, 63 Church St., Slatersville, RI. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Visiting hours are on Friday, August 9th from 5PM to 8PM at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
