Norman Roland Pelland

HEPHZIBAH, GA - Norman Roland Pelland, 65, passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018 surrounded by family. Resident of Hephzibah, GA; Formerly of Woonsocket, R.I. Norman is survived by his wife of 42 years, Doris Pelland; daughter Christina and her husband Victor Bevilacqua of Harrisville, RI; daughter Diana and her husband Derek Brodeur of Chepachet, RI; son Jared and his wife Ashley Pelland of Woonsocket, RI; and grandchildren Austin, Nathan, Ava, Nicholas, Benjamin, Damien and Ariana. He is also survived by his sister, Diane and her husband Robert Davis of Bristol, RI, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He also leaves behind his very close friend, JoAnn (Yankee) and her husband Trevor Harding, and the entire Yankee family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Doris (Boucher) Pelland and his sisters, Linda Brown and Jacquelyn Reardon.
Norman worked most recently as a VP Digital Marketing and Business Development at Saltzman's Watches in Warwick, RI. He also made lifelong friends at various employers including Cerel's, Save-Rite, NEI and Federal Electronics.
Although he possessed many talents including horticulture, acrylic painting, and playing the keyboard, he was a very simple and humble man who was adored by many.
He will be fondly remembered for his love of all things Halloween, his admiration of the New York Yankees and NASCAR (especially Jimmy Johnson), his endless faith in God, and his volunteer work (including the annual Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish carnival in Woonsocket, RI and the Foxboro, MA Jaycees Haunted House). What he enjoyed most was spending quality time with his family, friends and his beloved pets, including pug Hazel and cat Sweet Pea.
