Opal N. Letendre

CENTRAL FALLS - Opal N. Letendre, 97, formerly of Central Falls, passed away at Jeanne Jugan Residence, Pawtucket, on Monday, June 29, 2015. She was the beloved wife of the late Urbain J. Letendre for 65 years until his death in 2004.
Opal was born in Central Falls, the daughter of the late Hudor and Louise (Lague) Pare; she was a lifelong resident of the Blackstone Valley. She was a proud homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Mathieu's Church, Holy Spirit Parish and she was a member of the St. Ann Sodiality.
She leaves her children Normand J. and his wife Judith Letendre of Pawtucket, Maurice P. and his wife Janet D. Letendre of Cumberland, and Janice Letendre of Central Falls, a sister Constance Pare; 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Paul Pare, Doris Peloquin, and Lucille Collins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Chapel of the Jeanne Jugan Residence, 964 Main Street, Pawtucket, on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Daggett Avenue, Pawtucket. Calling hours on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Jeanne Jugan. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Little Sisters of the Poor or Summertime Fund for Camp Ker-Anna in her memory would be appreciated.
