Pat Guertin

NORTH SMITHFIELD - Pat Guertin, 91, of North Smithfield, died October 17, 2018 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. Hewas the husband of Claire (Girard) Guertin. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Omer J. and Antoinette (Greenough) Guertin.
He was the owner of the former P.A. Mulvey Hardware Company of Woonsocket for over fifty years. He was a communicant of the Holy Trinity Parish (formerly OLQM). Pat enjoyed hunting, fishing, his 1929 Model A Ford, wintering in Sarasota, FL with his wife, as well as watching the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy SeaBee's during WWII, and attended the Honor Flight to Washington DC in 2016 with a group of area veterans.
Besides his wife, Claire, Pat is survived by their three children, Susan J. DeGrave and her husband Dennis of North Smithfield, Tom Guertin and his wife Lorraine of Harrisville, and John Guertin and his wife Renée of North Smithfield; five grandchildren, Michael, David, Patrick, and Claire Guertin, and Christopher DeGrave; three great-grandchildren, Cameron, McKenzie, and Cameron Mary; as well as a sister, Rita Ferry of Sutton, MA. He was the brother of the late Bill Guertin and Ann Beausoleil.
His funeral will be held Monday, October 22, 2018 beginning with visitation at 8:30 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Holy Trinity Parish, 1409 Park Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice, 2374 Post Rd., Suite 206, Warwick, RI 02886.
