Percy Wilson Obituary
Mr. Wilson was a WWII Army veteran serving in England, France and Germany. He worked at the former Stillwater Mills for 25 years and worked as a carpenter for the former Henry Lewin Co. for 20 years before retiring in 1981. He was a member of Friendship Lodge #7 F&AM for 60 years, VFW Post #1023, life member of DAV, and past member of the Chepachet and Harrisville Fire Departments.
Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters Marjorie Fenley (George) and Charlene Holmes (George B.); 2 step daughters Pauline Potrais and Geraldine Anderson and 1 stepson Americo Romano. He was the grand-father of Karen and Daniel Greene, Jeremiah Fenley and Sean Collins. He also leaves 5 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-great granddaughter, 5 step grandchildren and 10 step great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Gertrude Izbicki and the late Anson, Frances, Mildred, Ivy and Hazel. He also leaves his "angel" Angela, one of his many caretakers at Bayberry Commons and many loving nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held Saturday May 30, 2015 at 10am in the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Visitation Friday 4-7pm. Burial with military honors will be in Acotes Hill Cemetery, Chepachet. In lieu of flowers, donations to R.I. Masonic Grand Lodge Scholarship Fund 222 Taunton Ave., E. Prov., RI 02914 will be appreciated.
