Peter J. Bottachiari

WOONSOCKET - Peter J. Bottachiari, 88, of Estes St. died Saturday, April 11, 2015 in Landmark Medical Center with his family by his side.
He was the husband of Lorraine (Choiniere) Bottachiari of Woonsocket and the late Diana (Gentile) Bottachiari.
Born in New Britain Connecticut, son of the late Pietro and Virginia (Vernaticoli) Bottachiari.
Peter was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II.
He worked as a Laborer for the State of Rhode Island for several years.
Peter belonged to the Italian Workingmen's Club in Woonsocket.
He enjoyed going to watch the sporting games of his children and grandchildren.
He loved the NY Yankees, playing Bingo, taking trips to Foxwoods and going to Florida for vacation. He also loved to sit outside by the fire, telling jokes and reminiscing.
Besides his wife Lorraine, he is survived by his 4 children; Robert and his wife Lynn Bottachiari of N. Smithfield, Peter and his wife Mary Bottachiari of Medway, MA., Lori and her husband Tony Gomes of No. Providence, and Michael and his wife Nicole Bottachiari of Woonsocket. He was also survived by his step daughter, Julie Remillard of Bellingham, MA. Two sisters; Doris Wing of New Hampshire and Carol Lee of Georgia. 13 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.
He was also the father of the late Thomas Bottachiari, and brother of the late Lucy Filipponi, Sylvia Ellison, and Angelo Bottachiari.
His Funeral will be on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 9 AM from the S.DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in All Saints Church, Rathbun St., Woonsocket. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited; Calling hours are on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 from 4-8 PM.
