S. ATTLEBORO - Peter J. Orlando Jr. 80, of Hampson St., died, Saturday, November 24, 2018 in Sturdy Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. He was the former husband of Pauline (Boucher) Orlando of Foxboro, MA. and the late Helen L. (Willis) Orlando.
Born in Milford, MA, son of the late Peter J. and Margaret L. (Diomedes) Orlando.
Peter worked as a Clerk at Sturdy Memorial Hospital for 20 years prior to retiring. He and his wife Helen also ran their business, The Sewing Room, for 10 years making and installing bedside curtains for Sturdy Memorial Hospital. He was an avid gardener whose yard would rival any park. His roses, vegetable garden, and bird feeders were beautiful. He loved to visit Foxwoods, Twin River, and Plainridge to try his luck. He loved spending time with his family and helping out with his grandchildren. He will be missed by all who loved him.
He is survived by his step-daughter's, Brenda Silva and her husband Alan of Ocoee, FL. and Laura McNally and her husband Shawn of S. Attleboro, MA. One brother, Sylverio Orlando and his wife Jeannine of Woonsocket, RI, One sister, Joan Alexander of Foxboro, MA. Many Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews, Grand children and Great Grand children.
He was beloved father of the late Karen, Kathleen and Christine Orlando.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 9 AM from the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Anthony Church Greene St. Woonsocket, RI. Burial will follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farm St. Blackstone, MA. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from 5-7 PM.
