Peter Raymond

Peter Raymond, 56, of North Smithfield, passed away December 5, 2023 at home. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph and Meredith (McGlinchey) Raymond.
Peter was the unofficial mayor of Woonsocket and could be found at several locations throughout the city, especially the Broaster House and Dunkin Donuts. He was a lifelong member of The Special Olympics of RI.
He is survived by two brothers, Brian Raymond and his wife, Kathleen, of San Antonio, TX, and Stephen Raymond and his wife, Jeanne, of Providence; five sisters, Susan Oliveira and her husband, Ken, of East Providence, Judith Fontaine of Woonsocket, Brenda Pump of Woonsocket, Mary Blanchard and Seth Levenson, of Woonsocket, and Melissa Raymond of North Smithfield. He was the proud uncle of 18 nieces and nephews, as well as many grand nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Joseph Raymond.
His funeral will be held Friday, December 15, 2023 at 9 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Holy Trinity Parish, 1409 Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours are Thursday from 4 - 7PM.
